The real method for small business has always been outdoor marketing, leaflets and cards, and more recently in the last decade internet marketing has become a second cheap and efficient option for spreading your brand name and making sales (point of sale marketing).

When thinking about your own home business try to take these things into account and stay away from large marketing companies that will charge you a big fee, and just repeat this basic methodology back to you then charge you a 5x overhead to use these methods through themselves.

To be a businessman, you must first me a marketer, secondly a salesmen, and lastly is knowing the market. The actual product or service isn’t that important but is just an aspect that affects quality and hence the efficiency of word-of-mouth marketing, so it all comes back to marketing in the end.
